Description
Animal Reiki Course
Animal Reiki, based on the original teachings and manual by Reiki Master Amanda Davies
Animal Reiki is a specialised energy healing system dedicated to the unique energetic nature of animals, their sensitivity, instincts and connection with the world around them.
This comprehensive course explores the energetic anatomy of animals, offering a deeper understanding of their chakra system and a thoughtful approach to supporting their physical, emotional and energetic well-being.
At the heart of Animal Reiki is the Brachial Chakra, a distinctive energy centre located in the shoulder area. Considered the main energetic connection between all the animal’s chakras, it is also associated with the special bond between animals and human beings.
The Brachial Chakra is the recommended starting point for an Animal Reiki treatment, making it one of the most important foundations of this system.
Animal Reiki also explores the fascinating complexity of the animal chakra system, including 8 major chakras, 21 minor chakras and 6 Bud chakras.
The minor chakras are associated with sensory awareness, while the Bud chakras, located on the feet and at the base of the ears, are particularly receptive to subtle energetic vibrations and environmental influences.
Understanding these energy centres offers a more detailed perspective on how animals interact with their surroundings, respond to different experiences and express their individual sensitivity.
The course also explores the energetic aspects of animal emotions, instincts and behaviour, including fear, stress, separation, relationships, trust and the natural instinct for survival. It examines how the energetic characteristics of animals may differ according to their species, environment and experiences.
This knowledge provides a foundation for working with different animals, including dogs, cats, horses, birds, small animals and wildlife.
Respect for each animal’s freedom and individuality is an essential part of Animal Reiki.
Every animal has its own way of responding to energy. Some may enjoy physical contact, while others prefer to receive Reiki from a comfortable distance. Animals may move freely, change position, approach or walk away during a treatment.
Animal Reiki encourages practitioners to observe these responses, honour each animal’s preferences and follow its natural rhythm, allowing the experience to unfold in harmony with its individual needs.
The system includes hands-on and hands-off techniques, as well as distance Reiki, allowing practitioners to offer energetic support regardless of the animal’s physical location.
The course also explores the different sensations and intuitive impressions that may arise during an Animal Reiki treatment, encouraging greater awareness and sensitivity when working with animals.
The Freedom of Self-Study
Animal Reiki is available as a self-study course, offering complete freedom to learn at a personal pace, choose the most convenient times for studying and enjoy the experience in a comfortable environment.
Students can explore the course materials whenever they wish, revisit the teachings as often as needed and gradually deepen their understanding of the animal chakra system and its practical applications.
This flexible approach allows learning and personal practice to develop naturally, whether Animal Reiki is a student’s first experience with energy healing or an addition to an existing Reiki journey.
One Attunement – Master Level
Animal Reiki includes one complete attunement, directly to Master level, offering the full experience of the system through a single initiation.
The course welcomes beginners and experienced Reiki practitioners alike.
Students can choose between two attunement methods:
- Chi Ball Attunement: the freedom to receive the attunement independently, at a personally convenient time.
- Attunement by Appointment: the attunement is received at a previously arranged time.
Both methods provide access to the same Animal Reiki Master-level attunement.
The attunement establishes the student’s connection with Animal Reiki energy and includes the distance healing symbol used within the system.
Upon completion of the course and attunement, students receive an Animal Reiki Master Certificate issued by Silvia Martinengo, Reiki Master, with the ability to pass Animal Reiki attunements to others.
Animal Reiki brings together detailed knowledge of animal energy centres, intuitive awareness, respect for individual sensitivity and a dedicated Master-level attunement.
A complete learning experience centred on understanding the energetic nature of animals, honouring their individuality and deepening the special connection between animals, their environment and the human beings who care for them.
Animal Reiki – Frequently Asked Questions
1. Can Animal Reiki be given to several animals at the same time?
Yes. Within Reiki practice, energy can be directed towards multiple animals during the same session, including at a distance. However, working with one animal at a time is generally preferable, as it allows the practitioner to focus more closely on each animal’s individual needs and responses.
2. How long does an Animal Reiki treatment usually last?
A typical treatment may last between 30 and 60 minutes, although some animals may prefer a much shorter session, sometimes around 10 minutes. The duration can be adapted to the animal’s comfort, receptivity and natural responses.
3. Is it necessary to work on every chakra during a treatment?
Animal Reiki recommends beginning with the Brachial Chakra, which connects the animal’s major energy centres. From there, the practitioner can follow the animal’s individual needs and intuitive guidance, focusing on the areas that appear to require particular attention. Each treatment can develop naturally according to the animal’s responses.
4. What can be used to practise Animal Reiki at a distance?
The Animal Reiki manual describes using the animal’s name, photograph and location to establish a focus for distance treatments.
Practitioners familiar with traditional Usui Reiki may also use a proxy, or surrogate object, such as a stuffed animal, doll, cushion or another object representing the animal. This additional Reiki technique allows the practitioner to work symbolically with different areas of the animal’s body while maintaining the intention of the distance treatment.
5. How frequently can Animal Reiki be practised?
Animal Reiki does not establish a fixed treatment frequency. Sessions can be adapted to the individual animal, its circumstances and its responses. Observing the animal’s comfort and receptivity helps guide the rhythm and duration of the practice.
6. Can Animal Reiki be practised alongside veterinary care?
Yes. Animal Reiki can be practised as a complementary approach to animal well-being, offering a gentle, supportive experience alongside appropriate veterinary care. Veterinary diagnosis and treatment remain essential whenever an animal requires medical attention.
